The Aikido Club of Try-Co-Lan’s Senior Instructor Paul Buchanan, center, conducted adult testing Nov. 12. Brad Buchanan, left, received the fifth and fourth kyu ranks; Scott Pearson, right, achieved his fifth kyu rank.
The kyu ranks number from six through first before a student tests for the first-degree belt. Brad, a recent Tryon resident, is a transfer student from the Oxford University Aikido Club in England.
