Hospice’s 2013 keepsake ornament and Tree of Life

Published 5:04 pm Monday, November 25, 2013

This year’s 2013 ornament, sold in conjunction with Hospice of the Carolina Foothills’s annual Tree of Life celebration, is in the shape of an “ole timey” ornament.

On each one, the year is hand-printed. A hanging “tag” will bear the name of a loved one being honored or remembered.
This keepsake ornament will then join the ranks of those treasured mementos, packed away each year in January, or left out as a constant reminder of someone important to us.

Ornaments may be reserved now through Nov. 30, through the giving of a donation of any amount, and special order forms are available at the North Carolina Hospice Center in Columbus (behind St. Luke’s Hospital), at the Hospice House in Landrum and at the Hospice Thrift Barn in Landrum.

An order form is printed in the Tryon Daily Bulletin this week, and is also available online at hocf.org, “Resources, News & Events.”

The Tree of Life drop-in celebration will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 10, from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at the Hospice House in Landrum.

For more information on purchasing an ornament or making a donation in memory or honor of someone to whom you wish to extend a very special recognition, call Diane Nelson at HoCF: 828-894-7000 or 864-457-9122.
