The White Collar Crime Unit of the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s office is hosting a free class for citizens on ways they can protect themselves from becoming a victim of any financial crime. The class will inform citizens on how financial scams work and ways they can protect themselves. The class will be held in the media room at the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office, located at 8045 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC, 29303, on Tuesday, June 25, at 6 pm. Class size is limited to 35 people; so if anyone is interested in attending, they are asked to please e-mail Sgt. Tony Brown att brown@spartanburgcounty.org or call  (864) 503-4578 to reserve a slot. The class shouldn’t last more than an hour.
