This 1.52-acre section was part of the property purchased in 2005 by Tryon Arts & Crafts that is known as Alexander&squo;s Ford.
When Tryon Arts & Crafts decided to sell Alexander&squo;s Ford, it worked with the purchaser, the Bradley Fund LLC, to protect the cemetery.
Both organizations agreed that the African-American cemetery would be donated to the church.
The acreage purchased by the Bradley Fund LLC (an entity related to the Polk County Community Foundation) in 2006 will become the Bradley Nature Preserve at Alexander&squo;s Ford, a public park.
