PC Players present ‘Willy Wonka’ this weekend

Featuring&bsp; favorite songs from the 1971 film ‐ including The Candy Man&dquo; and &dquo;Pure Imagination&dquo;‐this theatrical adaptation brings to life Roald Dahl&squo;s classic story of &uot;Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.&uot;
Senior Louis Rossi brings the candy-maker Willy Wonka to vibrant life. Freshman Cade Underwood&squo;s innocent portrayal of the young Charlie Bucket will delight area audiences. Local veteran actor Jack Carruth does double-duty as both the kind-hearted Candy Man and the hard-of-hearing Grandpa George. Freshman Allie Clayton plays Carruth&squo;s wife, Grandma Georgina. Freshman soprano Ciera Wilson and senior Noah Hall play the poor, but always positive, Mrs. and Mr. Bucket, parents of Charlie. Grandpa Joe, played by senior Chris Abril, accompanies Charlie to the factory. Joe&squo;s wife, Josephine, will be played by senior Lauren Whitmire.
Golden Ticket winners Augustus Gloop, Violet Beauregard, Veruca Salt, and Mike Teavee will be played by Logan Byrd, Keelia McCormack, Katelyn Duncan and Matthew Alexander, respectively. &bsp;
Parents of the spoiled winners are portrayed by Risa Koenig, Sara Seagle, Nick Hehner and Katarina Hernandez.
Rounding out rolls as the lime-haired Oompa-Loopas are Alyssa Fincher, Krystle Fortenberry, Riley Gillespie, Meghan Magin, Jordan Clayton, Laurel Ann Sams, Taylor Metcalf, Hope Sams and Kayla Byrd. Doubling as friends and Oompa-Loompas are Elizabeth Shanahan, India Jackson, Rachel Vining and Sarah Costine. &bsp;
Skating as cooks and dancing as Oompa-Loompas are Brooke McCraw, Amber Abunassar and Sarah Costine. Weighing and measuring the pecans, macadamias, walnuts, and cashews are the Squirrels-in-Training played by Karlie Whitson, Lena Koenig, Mandy Hostler and Allie Clayton.
