MILL SPRING—Under the lights at Tryon International over the weekend, Brazil’s Jefferson Silva and Virginia’s Michael Lane tied for the victory at the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Challenger Series event.

Both riders earned event-best 84-point rides—Silva in Round 1 aboard Big Reputation (Blake Sharp/Hanks) and Lane in Round 2 on Bucking Bill (Lucas Manning Bucking Bulls). The strong performances netted each competitor 93 points toward the 2025 PBR Challenger Series Championship standings.

South Carolina native Caleb Cantrell secured third place as the only other rider to notch a qualified ride. He went 1-for-3, posting an 82-point effort in Round 2 after riding Great Balls of Fire (Davis Rodeo Ranch). Cantrell heads home with 54 Challenger Global points.
