TRYON—Tryon Arts & Crafts School recently announced the appointment of Chloe Kaylor as its new full-time operations manager. Chloe brings a strong background in arts education and administration to the organization and is poised to play a key role in the continued growth and success of TACS.
A native of Mt. Holly, NC, Chloe holds a Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Western Carolina University. Her diverse experience includes curriculum design and instruction in various educational settings, along with valuable administrative skills in communication, budget management, and scheduling. She also brings hands-on experience in studio facilities management, which she developed during her time at RISD and WCU.
“We are thrilled to welcome Chloe to the TACS family,” said Will Barclift, Executive Director. “This new position serves several important goals: ensuring the safety of our students and visitors, strengthening our communications, and developing new strategies to engage artists and the public in meaningful ways. We sought someone with a lifelong dedication to creative practice and strong connections within the arts communities of western and central North Carolina and upstate South Carolina. Chloe brings that experience and insight, and we’re excited to deepen our ties with those vibrant creative networks and bring their energy to Polk County.”
As Operations Manager, Chloe will oversee TACS’s studios and facilities, serve as a liaison for instructors and studio assistants, and coordinate the school’s dedicated volunteers. She will work closely with Barclift and collaboratively with the entire TACS team to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the school, supporting its mission to provide high-quality arts and crafts education and foster a vibrant, creative culture.
