TRYON—On Friday, May 2, the Tryon Downtown Development Association and Foothills Chamber of Commerce jointly held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of Missi & Co. and Fortunate Finds, located at 75 S. Trade Street.

Missi & Co. is a luxury interior design firm with studios in Nokomis, Florida, and Tryon. It specializes in full-service new construction and comprehensive renovation projects. The company is dedicated to crafting designs that reflect its clients’ unique styles and preferences to create elegant, comfortable homes where homeowners can relax and enjoy their surroundings.

The grand opening also showcased Fortunate Finds, an antiques and art gallery led by Missi Youngblood. The gallery aims to enhance the artistic landscape of Tryon and the surrounding areas, featuring a carefully curated collection of antiques and distinctive artwork sourced from talented artists nationwide.

“We can’t wait for everyone to see our antiques, art, and tabletop accessories,” said Youngblood. “We are a full-service interior design studio looking forward to helping our customers design and refurbish their homes.”

TDDA Executive Director Lourdes Gutierrez said Missi & Co. and Fortunate Finds are filling a void for Tryon residents and visitors.

“Their product offerings are unique, and we are excited they decided to make downtown Tryon their home,” she says.

Chamber Marketing Manager Olivia Whiteside explained that having support from both the TDDA and the Chamber of Commerce adds another layer of connectivity for these downtown businesses. 

“Seeing the enthusiasm and positivity this team of women brings, we are eager to continue our support and collaborative efforts as they begin this endeavor,” said Whiteside.
