The day included live music from bluegrass band Upstream Rebellion, fun for the kids with bouncy houses, and food truck fare from Freddy B’s BBQ. Attendees enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere while checking out the newly renovated space formerly home to Bodega Noire.

Owner Austin Moore, who previously owned a dealership in Blue Ridge, expressed excitement for the new venture.

“We appreciate everyone coming out today and all the love and support of our friends and family,” he said. “We are excited to be here and to serve the Landrum community.”

Mayor Bob Briggs, along with City Council members Judy Henderson and Robert Farmer, welcomed the new business.

“Welcome to the City of Landrum. We are looking forward to working with you and are excited you are here as well,” said Mayor Briggs.

With a mission to serve the community and prioritize customer needs, Upstate Carolina Cars is poised to make a significant impact in Landrum.

“We’re going to offer world-class financing. I specialize in financing with nationwide lenders, so I report to all three credit bureaus every month,” Moore added. “I try to offer the lowest price we possibly can. I’m slightly different in my approach; I focus on the needs of each customer. For example, I recently advised a college-bound young woman that she didn’t need a particular car, instead highlighting options that would better suit her situation.”

As the dealership settles into its new home, residents can expect quality service and a personalized car-buying experience.

Upstate Carolina Cars is open Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
