Brown is known for his extensive knowledge and passion for railroad history. He previously served as the National Vice President of the Railroadiana Collectors Association. At this month’s gathering, he will share his insights in a presentation entitled “Reflections of a Southern Railroad Train Hostess.”

Brown’s journey into railroad memorabilia began when he was just 12 years old, inspired by his grandfather’s over 40-year tenure with the Southern Railway. His grandfather gifted him a Southern “shorty” lantern, a long-neck oiler, and a silver Southern thermos, sparking what would become a lifelong passion for collecting artifacts related to the Southern Railway.

The event is free, though donations are kindly accepted to support the historic depot and its programming.
