It was a journalistic blitzkrieg against North Carolina Republicans, Trump’s tariffs, and DOGE in the Tryon Daily Bulletin’s April 13, 2025 edition. 

These opinions appeared in two guest columns and a letter to the editor.

In my opinion Americans have been cheated, lied to, and taken advantage of  for decades by corrupt political elites and unelected bureaucrats. 

Now the curtain is being pulled back and it looks like a lot of federal and state agencies, NGOs, and even the government public school system is fat with waste, fraud, and abuse. The bad stuff must be eliminated and the good programs kept, but streamlined with real oversight.

There has to be a momentous reset to put America back on the right track. President Trump and Elon Musk have the courage and an “America First” attitude to get this job moving in the right direction.

Regarding tariffs, President Trump is right in wanting free and fair trade that will help rebuild our manufacturing base – especially for essential goods. Let’s come together to make America great again.
