TRYON—Polk County Farms will host this month’s Friends of Agriculture breakfast on Wednesday, April 16, at the Green Creek Community Center from 7 to 8 a.m.
This month, attendees will hear from Bobby Arledge, Polk County’s emergency management director and fire marshal. Arledge will share crucial updates on wildfire management and offer advice on emergency preparedness, followed by a Q&A session to address any concerns from the community.
Each month, the breakfast features a distinguished speaker from the agricultural sector who provides valuable insights and fosters community connection.
In addition to gaining knowledge from local experts, participants will enjoy a complimentary breakfast, meet neighbors, and connect with various community support agencies dedicated to preserving the area’s beautiful rural agricultural lifestyle. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own coffee mugs, plates, and utensils.
The Friends of Agriculture breakfast is held on the third Wednesday of each month from September through May, allowing residents to engage with one another and stay informed on important agricultural and community issues.
Green Creek Community Center is located at 25 Shields Drive. For more information, contact Polk County Farms at info@polkcountyfarms.org or (828) 894-2281.
