The film, which will be released in theaters on April 11, stars Rami Malek as a CIA cryptographer who blackmails the Agency into training him to go after a group of terrorists who killed his wife.

 

Ransom Canyon by Jodi Thomas

This contemporary western show slated to stream on Netflix on April 17 charts the intersecting lives and loves of three ranching families, set against the sweeping tundras and rolling rivers of Texas hill country.

 

Forever by Judy Blume

The series adaptation of the classic 1975 young adult novel follows the story of two teen athletes who become each other’s first love, which ultimately impacts them for the rest of their lives. Forever is set in 2018 Los Angeles and premieres on Netflix on May 8.

 

Clown in a Cornfield by Adam Cesare

I loved this book, and am so excited for the slasher movie, which releases in theaters on May 9! In a fading midwestern town, Frendo the clown is a symbol of bygone success, and reemerges as a terrifying scourge.

 

All Systems Red by Martha Wells

Alexander Skarsgård stars in Murderbot, a science fiction show that premieres on Apple TV+ on May 16, in which a security cyborg must hide its ability for free thought whilst completing dangerous assignments.

 

The Prom Queen by R. L. Stine

The newest installment in the Fear Street horror films collection on Netflix releases on May 23. As students at Shadyside High are preparing for the 1988 prom, the “it girls” are fighting to get support to be voted Prom Queen. As an unusual nominee emerges in the race, some of the other candidates begin to vanish without a trace.

 

The Better Sister by Alafair Burke

The thriller series stars Elizabeth Banks and Jessica Biel as estranged sisters who are forced together after one of their husbands is murdered. The Better Sister premieres on Amazon Prime Video on May 29.

 

Animal Farm by George Orwell

The third film adaptation of the classic dystopian novella is scheduled to be theatrically released on July 11. The allegorical tale takes place on a farm in England where the inhabiting animals revolt against their farmer for their own freedom, only to have their plan slyly spoiled by one of their own, unbeknownst to them.
