TRYON—Foothills Equestrian Nature Center has announced that its annual Go Fly a Kite Day event will take place on Sunday, April 6. Initially set to take place on March 30, the event has been postponed due to the wildfires in the area.

Go Fly a Kite Day is a free community event that invites attendees to spend the afternoon with family and friends while flying kites and enjoying the great outdoors. Volunteers from TROT will have a mechanical horse set up for the community to enjoy, and Foothills Humane Society will also be present with some pets for adoption.

The event will be held at FENCE on Hawk’s Ridge, which is located behind the FENCE Center. Snacks and drinks will be offered to attendees, and free kites will be provided for the first 200 children. Attendees are encouraged to explore FENCE before or after the event. All are welcome to enjoy its hiking trails and picnic areas.
