TRYON—Tryon Estates Executive Director Dee James was recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow at a recent Rotary Club of Tryon meeting. The Club bestowed this honor upon Dee for her continued support of Rotary programs.
When Rotary wanted to expand our Club’s reach into the community, Dee agreed to host a Rotary Club of Tryon Satellite Club at Tryon Estates. Her generosity allowed many long-time Rotary members to continue their participation without having to travel to weekly meetings. Dee has opened her facility for Rotarians to sell Community Chorus and Shrimpfest tickets and supported the Holiday fundraiser when she allowed former Rotarian Ray McClees to set up a Nut Sales table at Tryon Estates.
Dee was selected to receive this recognition because the Rotary Club of Tryon believes her life exemplifies the humanitarian objectives of the Rotary Foundation. The Club thanks her for her commitment to helping people.
