LANDRUM— On Saturday, March 15, the City of Landrum hosted a St Patrick’s Day street party on N. Trade Ave. from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Attendees of all ages came out to enjoy a variety of activities, bounce houses, food trucks, bagpipes, Irish dancing and more.
The event kicked off with a lively parade, which proceeded despite the wet weather.
The parade featured an array of participants, including bagpiper Art Davis from Greenville and dancers from Starmakers Dance Company, who showcased Irish dancing. The streets were filled with children, adults, and even dogs following along, many dressed in festive green attire for the St. Patty’s Day Derby Hat and Pet Costume Contest.
“Although it was a very rainy morning in Landrum, we still made the most of it,” said Marketing Director Tricia Taber. “A big thank you to the Landrum Police Department and Landrum Fire & Rescue for ensuring the safety of the community during the event.”
Taber also acknowledged the substantial efforts of the city crew in preparing for the celebration and thanked Mayor Briggs and the Landrum City Council, along with local businesses, for their continued support.
