TRYON—On Thursday, March 20, the community is invited to join Kevin Burke of Carolina Nature Tours at 9 a.m. for an easy and enjoyable morning bird walk exploring the fields and trails at FENCE.
Participants should find plenty of year-round resident birds, lingering winter sparrows and newly arrived migrants like Tree Swallow and Blue-headed Vireo. Birders of all levels are welcome.
Attendees should remember to dress appropriately for the weather, wear comfortable shoes, and bring along water and binoculars if they have them. Extra binoculars are available to borrow.
This event is free and open to the public. FENCE thanks the Kirby Endowment at the Polk County Community Foundation for making this event possible.
FENCE is located at 3381 Hunting Country Road in Tryon. For more information or to register for the event, visit www.fence.org, email info@fence.org, or call (828) 859-9021.
