Polk County’s golf team secured a narrow victory in Wednesday’s tri-match at Meadowbrook Golf Club, outpacing East Henderson and North Henderson in a competitive afternoon on the links.

The Wolverines posted a team score of 176, finishing five strokes ahead of East Henderson (181) and 15 strokes ahead of North Henderson (191).

Tourin Jackson led the way for Polk County, carding a 41 to finish second overall in individual scoring. Teammate Brody Wilkins followed closely with a 42, giving the Wolverines two of the top three individual performances.

North Henderson’s Lucas Carpenter earned medalist honors with the day’s low round of 39.

Piercen Edwards contributed a solid 46 for Polk County, while Addie Buss shot a 47 to complete the team scoring. Gage Harden (50), Tanner Osborn (53) and Aiden Billings (54) rounded out the Wolverines’ performance.

East Henderson was paced by Jackson Parker (43) and Russell Anderson (44).
