The monthly breakfast provides a welcoming atmosphere for neighbors to connect with one another and meet with local support agencies that focus on the region’s agricultural vitality. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from local farmers and agricultural specialists.

This month, the featured speaker is Brandon Highsmith, the chief property appraiser and operations supervisor for Polk County. Highsmith will address “The Nuts & Bolts of Present Use Value & the Revaluation Process,” providing valuable insights for attendees interested in understanding the intricacies of land valuation in the agricultural context.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own coffee mugs, plates, and utensils, further enhancing the event’s eco-friendly focus.

The Friends of Agriculture breakfast is held on the third Wednesday of each month from September through May, continuing a tradition that has existed for 15 years.
