MILL SPRING—CooperRiis in Mill Spring recently celebrated the 98th birthday of longtime employee Pat Dockendorf.

“On March 7, we had the absolute joy of celebrating Pat’s 98th birthday—a true inspiration to all of us at CooperRiis,” said Kimberly Nelson, marketing and outreach director for the organization. “We honored her with a lunch of her favorite deli sandwiches and topped it off with root beer floats—because what’s a celebration without a little sweetness?”

Pat, affectionately known as “The Hammer,” is more than just the education coordinator Nelson says—she’s a force of nature. With an incredible career spanning teaching, social work, mental health, and recreation, Pat has dedicated her life to helping others grow and thrive.

“She still brings that same passion to our community with every resident she works with,” Nelson adds. “Pat’s wisdom and kindness inspire us all. Happy 98th!”

Pat has worked at CooperRiss for 21 years. When Pat isn’t guiding and supporting CooperRiis residents, she is winning medals in competitive swimming, playing pickleball and bocce, and line dancing. She even plays in the percussion section in local symphonies.
