SALUDA—Mountain Page Theater is asking for aspiring actors to audition for its upcoming production of Thornton Wilder’s timeless classic, “Our Town.”
The theater is seeking talent of all experience levels to portray the residents of the fictional town of Grover’s Corners.
“Whether you’re a seasoned performer or taking the stage for the first time, this is a fantastic opportunity to engage in meaningful storytelling, make new friends, and be part of a truly special experience,” said Mountain Page Production Coordinator Ashley Sandahl.
Available roles include Dr. Frank Gibbs, a caring doctor and devoted father, and Mrs. Julia Gibbs, a loving mother with big dreams, both of whom are in the 30+ age range. The theater is also looking for Wally Webb, a lively young boy aged 10 to 15 who brings a bright spirit to the stage. Additionally, Constable Warren, who can be portrayed by anyone age 15 and older, is the dependable protector of Grover’s Corners. Lastly, Howie Newsome, the friendly neighborhood milk carrier, is wanted for a role that accommodates performers between the ages of 10 and 50. This is an exciting opportunity for actors of all experience levels to bring these characters to life and contribute to this meaningful production.
Mountain Page Theater is not just about acting. It fosters creativity, builds confidence, and creates connections among participants.
