“Paint and Pray” event helped raise funds for family of Ben Moore
POLK COUNTY—The Pea Ridge Partnership Initiative recently hosted a fundraiser to support the family of Ben Moore, a local resident who sustained severe burns in a tragic fire.
Held on Sunday, February 23, “Paint and Pray” raised funds to help alleviate the financial burden faced by the Moore family, who frequently travel to Georgia to be by Ben’s side during his recovery.
The event featured a creative and uplifting atmosphere. Attendees painted beautiful scripture pictures, which will be given to Ben to encourage him as he heals.
“Growing up in Green Creek taught me the value of coming together to help one another,” said Pea Ridge Partnership Initiative CEO Tanisha Akinloye. “It is essential that we show our love and support for the Moore family as they navigate this incredibly challenging period. Every contribution, big or small, makes a significant difference.”
Mary Prioleau, known for her culinary skills, provided desserts for the event, while Margaret Curtis delivered the sweet treats, adding a delightful touch to the evening. Ben’s family member, Carolyn Hines, was present to receive the generous donations collected during the event.
The community’s support was further amplified by Brittany Staley’s inspiring performances, which included uplifting songs that resonated with everyone in attendance.
“To see our community come together for Ben’s family has been truly inspiring,” Akinloye added. “We urge everyone to contribute what they can to support the Moore family during this emotional time. We are all in this together, and together, we will help Ben on his road to recovery.”
To support the Moore family, donations can still be made via CashApp to Ben’s sister, Linda Williams, with the tag $NGWT2. This will provide vital assistance as the family faces the challenges ahead.
