POLK COUNTY—Due to the weather,  Polk County schools are operating on a two-hour delay today. Saluda Elementary will be closed for students.

“Due to snow showers just occurring in different areas of the county this morning, all schools will operate on a two-hour delay schedule today, except for Saluda Elementary, which will be closed for students,” said Superintendent Aaron Greene. “Middle and High School students who live in the Saluda area are excused from school as well, and no buses will run in Saluda today. We are also canceling the strategic planning meeting in Saluda tonight and will reschedule.” 

Students and families living in an area with accumulated snow or ice on the roadways were advised to make the best travel and safety decisions.  

“Any absence due to weather conditions will be excused,” said Greene.
