Polk County head girls soccer coach Lennox Charles participated in the Carolinas Cup held December 7-8 in Winston-Salem, playing with the CPSL-Charlotte O60 team.

The weekend showcased a competitive series of matches, with Charles and his team competing against some of the region’s top adult soccer squads.

The tournament began on Saturday morning as CPSL-Charlotte O60 faced off against Curmudgeons International. It was a hard-fought match that ended in a 2-2 draw. Later that day, CPSL-Charlotte O60 rebounded with a 2-1 victory over NDY in the afternoon/evening match.

Sunday’s action saw CPSL-Charlotte O60 win another 2-1 match, this time against Longtimers. However, in the final match of the tournament, CPSL-Charlotte O60 met Curmudgeons International once again. Despite a strong effort, the team was defeated 4-1.
