TRYON—Local author Gaden Merritt Corpening will hold a book signing for his new novel, Motorcycle Helmet Man, this Friday, November 22, at the Tryon Bookshelf. The signing will take place from 5 to 7 p.m.
Garden is a third-generation Tryonite. Many old-timers will remember his grandfather, who ran Eskdale Farms, where FENCE is now located.
Motorcycle Helmet Man is set in Asheville, where Cole Hendrix seeks answers to his dilemma regarding a strange homeless man wearing a red motorcycle helmet. The adventure continues at FENCE, where Gaden’s grandparents lived, and he spent a good portion of his young life exploring the countryside.
Gaden has been clean and sober for twenty-one years. His first book, The Angel in L.A., a nonfictional narrative, has helped hundreds of addicts suffering from addiction.
The Tryon Bookshelf is located at 17 S Trade St.
