Polk bass team scores ninth in season-opening event

A pair of Polk County High School bass fishing teams kicked off the 2024-25 season with a solid showing at Lake Hartwell in Fair Play, S.C.

Competing in a Palmetto Boat Center High School Tournament Trail event, Polk’s team of Banks Barber and Tanner Osborn finished ninth overall. The duo landed five fish with a total weight of 12.34 pounds, marking the biggest catch recorded by a Polk team on Lake Hartwell.

Polk’s second team of Konner Huskey and Wyatt Highsmith tied for 91st in the field of more than 100 boats.
