LANDRUM—The City of Landrum hosted Hogback Mountain Day on Saturday, treating a record number of attendees to a day of free family fun in celebration of picturesque Hogback Mountain, which overlooks the city. Initially scheduled for September 14, the event was postponed one week due to inclement weather.
Hogback Mountain Day has become a cherished event and a symbol of community spirit, offering an opportunity for people from across the area to come together and share their hometown pride.
The day kicked off with the Farmers Market at the Cunningham Market Pavilion and coincided with the opening hours of the Railroad History Museum. The event hosted vendors and businesses along North Trade Avenue and featured the Summer Sizzle, courtesy of The Well Church, which offered amusement rides, bounce houses and free food. The festivities culminated with Music at the Market, featuring the Dirty South Band.
Local businesses reported a great turnout, with pleasant weather adding to the festive atmosphere.
