Friends of Ag Breakfast kicks off new season

GREEN CREEK—The Friends of Ag Breakfast will begin its new season on Wednesday, September 18, at 7 a.m. at the Green Creek Community Center.

The event will feature Lindsey Edwards, NCSU Extension Agent, Family & Consumer Sciences, as the guest speaker. Attendees can expect Edwards to share information about her program and the extension’s work within the community.

This free and public event will also feature local farmers, growers, and other food producers who will provide fresh ingredients for a delicious complimentary country breakfast. AgSouth Farm Credit and Mountain Brook Vineyards are the FOA breakfast sponsors for this event.

With a history spanning over 13 years, this breakfast has featured speakers from local farms and other agricultural experts. It is a valuable opportunity for attendees to meet neighbors and connect with community support agencies that aim to maintain the beautiful, rural agricultural county.

The event will take place at the Green Creek Community Center, located at 25 Shields Drive, Tryon, NC. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own coffee mugs and plates to support sustainability efforts.
