LeDoyt, who has been impersonating the ‘King of Rock and Roll’ since 2001, has garnered praise from individuals who knew Elvis personally who consider him “the world’s best young Elvis.”

“This is as close as you’re going to get to seeing Elvis in the 50s,” says D.J. Fontana, Presley’s longtime drummer and friend.

LeDoyt has performed in venues across the country and has opened for many A-list musicians, such as Jerry Lee Lewis, B.B. King, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Bill Haley’s Comets, and Johnny Rivers.

Traveling with his Nashville-based band, LeDoyt looks forward to bringing his “Tribute to the King” tour to Tryon with a stellar setlist of some of the King’s greatest hits.

“I think the audience is going to be in for a surprise when Travis takes the stage,” said Marianne Carruth, executive director at Tryon Fine Arts Center. “If you close your eyes and listen, you think you are hearing the original, but when you open your eyes, and you see this performer who meticulously personifies Elvis the way he does, you are just blown away.”

Tickets for the show are available at the Tryon Fine Arts Center box office, tryonarts.org, or by calling 828.859.8322.

Additionally, TFAC will be hosting a 50s Sock Hop in the Pavilion from 6-7 p.m. for ticket holders. Attendees can pull out the poodle skirts and bobby socks, grab the pomade, dust off their blue suede shoes, and even take part in a Best Elvis Contest. RSVP for the Sock Hop through the box office or by contacting sharol@tryonarts.org.

Tryon Fine Arts Center is located at 34 Melrose Ave. in Tryon.
