The Tryon Country Club Women’s Golf Association played a Match Play event on Tuesday, July 2, along with a closest-to-the-pin contest on hole #3. There were six different matches being played, each of which was worth 9 points. The players were divided into two teams, with each individual match contributing to the larger team total. The winning team was:
