SALUDA— The summer Saluda Tailgate Market has proven to be a hit at its new location on Main Street Saluda, drawing in crowds with its convenient access and community atmosphere.
This Friday, June 21st, the market is set to delight kids and parents alike with the “Krazy for Kidz” celebration, presented by the St. Luke’s Foundation. The event will feature the “Bring their Teddy Bear Clinic,” a fun and educational activity where children can learn about medical care by practicing on their stuffed animals. Additionally, a scavenger hunt and a tasting of Super Summer Sliders promise fun for the whole family. With a successful opening day featuring the enchanting tunes of Holler & Crow Celtic musicians, the market continues to offer an array of engaging events for all ages.
The Teddy Bear Clinic and Bones Craft event is specially designed for children aged 1-12, giving them the opportunity to mimic medical procedures and conquer any fears. Dr. Knolhoff, St. Luke’s general surgeon, will also be present for the event. Children are encouraged to bring their own teddy bears or use one provided.
Looking ahead to next Friday, June 28th, the market eagerly anticipates the introduction of a new flower vendor from Verde Farm, offering a delightful array of blooms. To add to the festivities, live music from Hendersonville’s own Ukelele Group, known as H.U.G., will provide a lively soundtrack to the market experience.
The Saluda Tailgate Market is held at 214 E. Main St. on Fridays from 4:00 p.m. to 6 p.m., and the Columbus Market is held on Courthouse St. from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
