Per the application guidelines, Polk County School’s After School Program issues a public notice to the community regarding our intention to apply for the 21st Century Community Learning Centers Cohort 17 grant.
If received, this funding will help provide academic and enrichment opportunities to qualifying families from preschool to first grade. This application is a program to target early elementary students in addition to our current Cohort 16 21st CCLC grant serving Kindergarten to 12th grade students.
The purpose of the 21st CCLC Program, as described in federal statute, is to provide opportunities for eligible communities to establish or expand activities that focus on improved academic achievement, enrichment services that reinforce and complement the academic program as well as social and emotional learning and family engagement.
