Sunday proved quite super for Polk County Volleyball Club’s 14U squad.

The 14U team took top honors at the Heart of a Champion tournament in Spartanburg, topping a field of 15 teams to win the event held at The Star Center.

PCVC 14U finished 5-0 in the two-day tourney. The team defeated Elevate 14 Kari of the Greenville area 25-16, 18-25, 15-9 in the championship match.

PCVC had two other bracket-winning teams during the weekend. PCVC 13U rebounded from a tough round of pool play to win the Bronze division, knocking off Stars 13 Olivia of the Spartanburg area 17-25, 26-24, 15-9 in the Bronze final.

PCVC 12U also won its Bronze bracket. The team closed the tournament with three straight victories, including a 25-27, 25-21, 15-6 win over 3s Up VBA 12-Nikki of Columbia, S.C. in the Bronze final.

PCVC’s 15U team finished 1-4 and in 13th place.
