Time capsule will reside beneath future Town Hall

 

CAMPOBELLO—Campobello Town Council recently announced that it is preparing to bury a time capsule and is asking the public for contributions to be included so that future generations can connect to local history.

The time capsule will be buried beneath the new Town Hall/Campobello Police Department that will be built some time in the future, the council said in a social media post.

Items that may be considered for the time capsule could include old photos, correspondence, small signs, historical artifacts or any other pieces of memorabilia that help tell the story of Campobello.

“If you have any items that you would believe to be of significance in telling about our town, please bring them by Town Hall,” the post reads. 

The town says items that include corrosive material, such as batteries, should not be brought, as those items will not be included in the time capsule.
