Polk County residents were recently able to participate in the Therapeutic Riding of Tryon program at FENCE tuition-free thanks to a Board Initiative Grant from the Polk County Community Foundation.
TROT is a program that provides equine-assisted activities to adults and children with physical, developmental, and cognitive disabilities in a safe, friendly, and supportive environment.
“This program wouldn’t be what it is without the support of the Polk County Community Foundation, its human and horse volunteers, and its staff,” said FENCE Executive Director Tracie Hanson.
FENCE is located at 3381 Hunting Country Road in Tryon. For more information about TROT or any of its programs or events, visit fence.org.
