GREENVILLE COUNTY — A Polk County man has died after a single-vehicle accident in Greenville County on Wednesday morning.

The Greenville County Coroner’s Office identified the driver as Ty Edwin Joseph McGraw, 18, of Tryon.

South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers said McGraw was heading east in an Acura SUV on Goodjoin Road in the Gowensville community when the vehicle veered off the road, hit a tree and overturned. Officials say the accident occurred at 2:33 a.m.

McGraw was pronounced dead at the scene.
