TRYON—Collectors, thrifters and bargain hunters are invited to Tryon Arts & Crafts School’s Yard Sale benefit on August 25 from 12 to 6 p.m. and August 26 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The sale will take place behind TACS’ main building at the ground-level facility, near Harmon Field’s open-air gym.
Eager shoppers are expected to line up outside on Friday morning to be part of the initial rush.
The Yard Sale started as a way for the school to sell old equipment to fund upgrades. Visitors can expect to find items such as kilns, printer scanners, hardware, household decor and more.
Donations for the sale can be dropped off on Saturday, August 19 from 10 a.m. to noon, and from Monday to Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
All proceeds from the sale will go toward the operations and art education programs of Tryon Arts and Crafts School, a nonprofit organization serving the extended Polk County area.
TACS’ main building, including offices, studios, gallery, and retail, will be closed during the sale on both Friday and Saturday.
Volunteers for the Yard Sale are given early bird access at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. To volunteer, contact organizers by emailing fire0earth@hotmail.com. The TACS member presale follows the volunteer early bird at 11:40. Memberships are available through TACS’ website, tryonartsandcrafts.org.
Tryon Arts and Crafts School is located at 373 Harmon Field Rd. in Tryon.
