Proceeds support children and raise awareness for blood drive
SALUDA—The Polk County Masonic Lodge will be hosting its annual Coon Dog Day Breakfast charity fundraiser on July 8.
The net proceeds will be divided equally between the Masonic Home for Children in Oxford, NC and the Masonic and Eastern Star Home in Greensboro. The Blood Connection in Hendersonville will also be on-site as there is currently a strong need for blood donation in Western North Carolina.
Blood donors who contribute a pint donation will receive a free breakfast.
At a cost of $10 per plate, the breakfast will consist of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and sausage gravy, fried potatoes and onions, grits, plain biscuits, jelly, juice and coffee.
Polk County Masonic Lodge #482 is located at 662 Ozone Drive in Saluda. The Coon Dog Day Breakfast will last from 7:30 a.m. until approximately 11 a.m.
