TRYON—At the Live@Lanier Family Event for 2023, you and your family can learn what it takes to rehabilitate a dog from cowering in a shelter kennel to becoming a happy member of a family.
Kat Hamilton, Executive Director of Foothills Humane Society, and some of her canine friends from the shelter will share “Happy Tails of Rescues” on Saturday, July 22, at 10:30 a.m. Prepare to meet, pet, and lose your heart across from Lanier Library at Greene Corner Park, located at Melrose Ave. and Chestnut St. in Tryon.
Foothills Humane Society is a private, non-profit shelter that provides medical care, neutering or spaying, room and board, training and affection to cats and dogs that are surrendered, lost, discarded or rescued in Polk County, Landrum, Gowensville, and Campobello. As a no-kill organization, staff and volunteers at 989 Little Mountain Road, Columbus, NC, keep the promise of safety until all of the animals have a home.
This program is the latest in Lanier’s Felburn Nature and Wildlife Collection series. The event is free and open to the public.
