TRYON–MacRider, a custom saddle maker out of the Netherlands, owned and operated by master saddler Henriette Biekman-Janssen, will be making the first stop on their American tour at Renovatio Farms in Tryon from Feb. 2-4.
Founder Biekman-Janssen has worked with the Olympic Equestrian teams in the Netherlands and with many of the world’s top equestrian riders for nearly twenty-five years.
The company’s custom-made leather saddles are made in Europe. MacRider was built from a personal quest to build a better saddle and bridle.
The tour begins Feb. 2 in Tryon at Renovatio Farms, run by Trayce Doubeck. Doubeck, who MacRider sponsors, is well-known in the area as a top dressage rider, trainer, and instructor. She also manages an annex shop where she sells MacRider products.
“MacRider saddles and bridles are second to none in the industry,” says Doubeck. “What makes all the difference is the people behind the scenes. They care about getting it right.”
When the MacRider tour ends its stay in our area, it will head to Houston, Texas. Renovatio Farms is located at 1807 John Shehan Road in Tryon. To make an appointment for trials and service, call (864) 325-5684 or email info@macrider.com.
