Polk County District Court results

In Polk County District Court on Nov. 23, 2022, with Judge Fritz Mercer presiding, 75 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Shannon Toney Butler was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired. Butler was sentenced to one-year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs. 

Zachary David Garcia was convicted of consume alcohol by 19/20 year old. Garcia was fined $30 and court costs. 

Timothy Matthew Grice was convicted of simple possession of schedule II controlled substance. Grice was sentenced to one-year unsupervised probation and court costs. 

Brian Louis Outland was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Outland was fined $25 and court costs. 

Suzy Bible Sanders was convicted of a felony probation violation. Sanders’ probation was terminated. 

Joshua Gregory Wood was convicted of resisting public officer, intoxicated and disruptive and failure to appear on misdemeanor. Wood was sentenced to 5 days in jail with credit for time served.

In Polk County District Court on Nov. 30, 2022, with Judge Emily Cowan presiding, 116 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Jordon D. Brooks was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Brooks was fined $50 and court costs. 

Racheal Cain was convicted of second-degree trespass. Cain was fined $50 and court costs. 

Xavia Hill was convicted of simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance and failure to appear on misdemeanor. Hill was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served. 

John Henry Jackson was convicted of second-degree trespass. Jackson was sentenced to one-year unsupervised probation and court costs. 

Briannardo K. Johnson was convicted of possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Johnson was fined $50 and court costs. 

Jarrett Daniel McKaig was convicted of trapping during closed season. McKaig was sentenced to one-year unsupervised probation, a $200 fine and court costs. 

Phillip Michael Messer was convicted of reckless driving-wanton disregard. Messer was sentenced to one-year unsupervised probation, a $30 fine and court costs. 

Christopher Mitchell was convicted of misdemeanor larceny. Mitchell was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served. 

Keyla Noguera was convicted of assault on a government official/employee and level 4 driving while impaired. Noguera was sentenced to 12 days in jail with credit for time served for assault on a government official/employee, one-year unsupervised probation, 48 hours of community service, a $100 fine, a $600 lab fee, and court costs for driving while impaired. 

Jaden Amir Paz was convicted of unsafe movement. Paz was fined $50 and court costs. 

Rebecca Elaine Renken was convicted of rear seat belt violation. Renken was fined $25.
