Therapeutic Riding of Tryon, better known in the community as TROT, started its Spring Session this past week. TROT has been a staple in the community since 2004 working to provide equine-assisted activities to adults and children with physical, developmental, and cognitive disabilities in a safe, friendly, and supportive environment. A huge thank you to TROT’s students, volunteers, volunteer horses, and staff that make this program a possibility. We are looking forward to a great year!
Are you interested in getting involved with the TROT program? TROT is currently seeking horse volunteers to assist with the program.
Horses with the following traits are needed on our team!
- Physically sound and in good health
- Nice Temperament
- Sensible with noises, arena props, and trail elements
- Ability to tolerate interactions and attention from multiple people
If you have a heart for service and have a horse that can help our students please contact TROT at FENCE.
