If you’ve been to FENCE to hike in the past few years, you may have taken notice that the paved Wildwood Trail was in need of some attention. Over the years wear and tear had taken its toll on the trail from storm damage, uprooted trees, and growing tree roots, the trail had become more uneven and less stable to walk on. FENCE is excited to report that the Wildwood trail has been repaved and is back in peak condition!
The Wildwood Trail is a .3 mile long, paved trail that allows community members who may have trouble navigating the natural substrate trails an opportunity to enjoy a stroll through the woods. This trail is easy to access for individuals with walkers, wheelchairs, or strollers. Visit FENCE to check out the upgraded trail and enjoy all the property has to offer.
FENCE wishes to extend a thank you to Price Paving & Grading for their excellent work on the project. And a thank you for the support from the community and the Polk County Community Foundation that made the update possible. FENCE strives to be an asset to the community by continually working to improve our facilities and programming.
FENCE is located at 3381 Hunting Country Road in Tryon, North Carolina. For more information about FENCE visit www.fence.org, call 828-859-9021, or email info@fence.org.
