In Polk County District Court on Jan. 12, 2022, with Judge Gene Johnson presiding, 166 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Juan Nikely Avalo was convicted of speeding 102 mph in a 70 mph zone. Avalo was fined $102 and court costs.
Regis Ahmad Bittle was convicted of resisting public officer. Bittle was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.
Valerie Lynn Blair was convicted of intoxicated and disruptive. Blair was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.
Michael Oryan Blounts was convicted of simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance. Blounts was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.
Bradley O’Neal Cannon was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Cannon was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.
Carlos A. Contreras was convicted of solicit crime against nature. Contreras was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for time served.
Richard Anderson Cox was convicted of simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance. Cox was to pay court costs.
Mark Allen Cron was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Cron was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.
Jessie Maria Davis was convicted of failure to comply with community service. Davis was sentenced to 24 hours in jail.
Mary Martha Dugan was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired. Dugan was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Tyler Cody Henges was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired. Henges was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Karen Denise Lunsford was convicted of driving while license revoked-not impaired revocation. Lunsford was fined $100 and court costs.
Rylee Malia McDowell was convicted of reckless driving-wanton disregard. McDowell was fined $100 and court costs.
Leroy Miller was convicted of misdemeanor cruelty to animals. Miller was sentenced to one year supervised probation, $825 in restitution and court costs.
Jayden Bryson Phillips was convicted of speeding 112 mph in a 70 mph zone. Phillips was fined $100 and court costs.
Ricky Allen Tucker II was convicted of resisting public officer, second degree trespassing and failure to appear on misdemeanor. Tucker was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.
Dallas Patrick Wilson was convicted of assault by pointing a gun. Wilson was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $150 fine and court costs.

Larry Steven Bell was convicted of driving while license revoked-impaired revocation and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bell was sentenced to 8 days in jail with 7 days credit.
Billy A. Bennett was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired. Bennett was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Darin Andrew Bovee was convicted of driving while license revoked-not impaired revocation. Bovee was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit.
Ashley Nicole Crawford was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Crawford was to pay court costs.
Tracey A. Delong was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired. Delong was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Jeremy Ivan Foster was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired. Foster was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $150 fine and court costs.
Sarah Lynn Greene was convicted of resisting public officer. Greene was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit.
Corey Robert Humphries was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired. Humphries was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $125 fine and court costs.
Michael James McGraw was convicted of flee/elude arrest with motor vehicle and possession of methamphetamine. McGraw was sentenced to 15-27 months in prison with 62 days credit for flee/elude arrest and 9-20 months in prison for possession of methamphetamine.
Dana Nicole Mosseller was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired. Mosseller was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $150 fine and court costs.
James Clifford Pruitt was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired. Pruitt was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours in jail, a $150 fine and court costs.
Ronald Keith Schell was convicted of communicating threats. Schell was sentenced to 12 months supervised probation.
Jonathan H. Thompson was convicted of speeding 34 mph in a 25 mph zone. Thompson was fined $50 and court costs.
