Incumbents seal council seats in Landrum; District One adds 3 new members
LANDRUM—The City of Landrum’s mayor and council sealed their seats on Tuesday night, as all were incumbents running unchallenged.
Landrum Mayor Bob Briggs received 131 votes, according to unofficial results from the Spartanburg County Voter Registration and Elections Office. For council, Daniel Prince was high vote getter with 135 votes, followed by Tammy Cox with 131 votes and Billy Inman with 122 votes, according to unofficial results Tuesday night.
The District One School Board race saw 3 incumbents unseated Tuesday night, according to unofficial results. Incumbents Mark Holden and Mark Rollins kept their seats, but Ronnie Blackwell, Henry Gramling and Joel Pack were unseated. Challengers Steve Skinner, April Fowler and Debbie Strange Baker unseated the incumbents, according to unofficial results.
Skinner was high vote getter with 1,337 votes, Holden followed with 1,326 votes, Fowler was close behind with 1,326 votes, Baker received 1,280 votes and Rollins received 1,210 votes. There were 43 write-in votes for the district race.
The results for the Spartanburg County election will be certified on Thursday, Nov. 4 at 10 a.m.
