In Polk County District Court on Oct. 6, 2021, with Judge Kim Justice presiding, 132 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Christian Abrams was convicted of 2 counts of probation violation. Abrams’ probation was revoked.
Christine Elizabeth Braly was convicted of resisting a public officer. Braly was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit for time served.
Sarah Beth Brown was convicted of felony probation violation. Brown’s probation was terminated.
Douglas Bailey Cone was convicted of unsafe movement. Cone was fined $30 and court costs.
Curtis Lloyd Corn was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired. Corn was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $200 fine and court costs.
Russell Wade Gilbert was convicted of obstruction of justice. Gilbert was sentenced to one year supervised probation and court costs.
Whitney Shane Gregory was convicted of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Gregory was sentenced to 18 months supervised probation and court costs.
Collin Ray Hipp was convicted of speeding 103 mph in a 70 mph zone. Hipp was fined $103 and court costs.
Catherine Leigh Hughes was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Hughes was fined $40 and court costs.
Dan Bin Lin was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Lin was fined $40 and court costs.
Samuel Ray Perez was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia, attempted possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of marijuana ½ to 1 and ½ ounces and carrying a concealed gun. Perez was sentenced to one year supervised probation and court costs.
Candice Victor Roache was convicted of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Roache was sentenced to one year supervised probation and court costs.
Brandon M. Seibert was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Seibert was fined $40 and court costs.
Weiyi Yang was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Yang was fined $40 and court costs.
