Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Tired of staying in? Heat got you down? Visit Tryon Painters and Sculptors to view our latest show opening August 1st. Aptly titled “Summer Sizzle” is a guests/members show.

Tryon Painters and Sculptors is a non-profit with close to 200 members – both artists and art lovers. Several times a year we invite guest artists to take part in a show sharing gallery space with invited TPS members. This format gives the visitor a very diverse selection of art to choose from. We are, of course, practicing safety precautions with social distancing and the required (available free) face covering.

Summer Sizzle guest artists are Jessica Gilbert practicing her art making process with mixed media; Bonnie Bardos, Saluda, NC artist and sculptor and Amy Goldstein Rice who uses animals in her ceramic art pieces to deliver her messages.

Our invited member artists taking part in this show which runs from August 1st until September 12th  offer the visitor a variety of styles.

Scott Kentner carves wood sculptures from reclaimed hardwood; Marilyn Doheney is widely known for her beautiful hand crafted quilts; Norma Batchelder creates serene paintings and Alice Jackson rounds out our artists with her exquisite watercolors.

Come out of the heat and into the cool gallery which is supported by individual donors as well as Polk County Community Foundation. We appreciate our growing art community and your visits to the gallery.
