Standing with law enforcement

 

This is a love letter to all of our law enforcement officers. It is with a grateful heart that I want to thank you for what you do for our community. You put it all on the line for us every single day, literally risking your personal safety with each encounter when someone is breaking the law.

You have to make split second decisions about whether or not you can defuse a situation or if it is life threatening to either you or to those around you. Few people have the ability to react that quickly and appropriately in such stressful and sometimes violent, circumstances.

For those who are planning to commit crimes in the future or want to watch our nation fall into lawlessness and are pushing for police forces to be defunded, I will stand against you. I want to see our law enforcement fully funded with everything that our officers need for their personal protection and every tool available to do their jobs as well and efficiently as possible. Law enforcement is the only thing standing between a civilized community and complete anarchy.

So, I give a heartfelt “Thank You” to our officers and to all first responders. May God bless you and protect you.
