Tryon Little Theater postpones fall season
TLT has been entertaining our community for 72 years. As an all-volunteer operation, we obviously
love what we do and who we do it for.
The Covid-19 pandemic has affected all of us, especially non-profit entertainment venues such as ours. It is with sadness that I inform you that TLT is postponing our season until the Spring of 2021. Our goal is to have two productions in the spring, both at the TLT Workshop.
This doesn’t mean we are sitting still. We are close to rolling out a new website, which will give you behind
the scene looks at what goes on in a production, and feature some of the talented actors, actresses, singers,
directors, etc. that make all this possible.
We also will have video of the fabulous young people that were recently awarded TLT scholarships. We will be
scrubbing down the theater to get ready for you all to return and feel safe doing so.
In addition to the two productions at the Workshop in the Spring of 2021, Shakespeare and Friends will once
again be offered at Rogers Park in Tryon. Romeo and Juliet, Light in the Piazza, The Crucible, Cyrano
de Bergerac and A Christmas Carol are all in the planning for that venue in 2021.
Shortly, we will send out a video of the opening monologue from The Cake, which was scheduled to be our
last show this season. The Cake will be one of the two productions TLT will do next spring. With the abundant
talent available, we hope to regularly provide you a song, a monologue, a comedy bit –you can’t keep stage
people down!
We’ll be back and feisty as ever!
