St. Luke’s Hospital, The Blood Connection partner to host event
Now more than ever, we need you to give the gift of life on Thursday, June 4 and receive a $10 Visa gift card and a free Covid-19 antibody test paid for by The Blood Connection. This is not a Covid-19 test. The Blood Connection cannot see any donor with Covid-19 symptoms.
The Blood Connection mobile unit will be located in the parking lot at the rear of St. Luke’s Hospital from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. A sign directing people to social distance will be displayed at registration. Social distancing and safety guidelines will be observed. Staff will wear masks and donors are strongly encouraged to also wear masks.
“Especially during the COVID-19 crisis, we are in need of blood,” said Shawn Marler, WNC Donor Relations Representative with The Blood Connection. “Receiving the free COVID-19 antibody test is definitely a bonus for donors.”
St. Luke’s Hospital is located at 101 Hospital Drive in Columbus. After taking the main entrance from highway 108 onto the hospital campus, keep right and follow signs to the Rehabilitation Center. The mobile unit is located in the parking lot next to the Rehabilitation Center.
Donors should bring a TBC donor card or photo ID. Walk-ins are accepted; however, appointments are strongly recommended and can be scheduled at 828-585-8060.
